The Topic

This week's topic is about the buying and selling of Buddhism. Usually Buddhism is seen as being anti-commercialization, but yet Buddhism in the US is most often practiced by the well to do and buying Buddhist books, statue, zufus, etc seem to be an important prat of practice. Buddhism and meditation is even showing up in Time Magzine. You can buy many different types of Buddhist material and even swim suits with the Buddha. Is this trend weakening Buddhist teachings? We will explore this topic on Friday's chat.
